1. Create a background

Step 1

Create a new document (Ctrl + N) with the following settings:

  • Width : 850 pixels
  • Height : 500 px
  • Resolution : 72 PPI

Step 2

Duplicate the background layer Layer - Duplicate Layer (Layer - Duplicate the layer) or press the key combination Ctrl + J. Call the copy “Background Pattern”.

Step 3

Now we need to add a texture.

Double-click on the “Background Pattern” layer to open the Layer Style window . Select the Style Pattern Overlay and click on the pattern selection button. In the menu that opens, find the pattern Pattern01 and click OK.

Step 4

To darken the background a bit, we'll add another layer style with a gray translucent fill. Double-click on the Background Pattern layer to open the styles window, and select the Color Overlay layer style .

  • The Blend -Mode (Blending Mode): the Normal (Normal)
  • Color: # 000000

Step 2

Duplicate (Ctrl + J) the GOLD text layer and name the top copy “GOLD A” and the bottom copy “GOLD B”. Using these two layers and styles we will create a 3D effect.

We activate the Move Tool (V) (Move), on the layer panel with the Ctrl key pressed, select both text layers and the background layer, then align them on the top panel:

  • Align Horizontal : Center ( Center Alignment Horizontal)
  • Align Vertical : Center ( Center Alignment Vertical)

3. Apply styles to the first layer
